Thinking about joining? The website FAQ
answers what applicants ask, and what joining looks like
covers the process end to end.
This page covers running with the unit once you are in.
Main operations are Saturday and Sunday, 7pm GMT, all year round. During the
week there is Discord night on Monday, side missions on Wednesday, and games
night on Friday.
The Mission Board has the current
schedule.
Two operations a month is the floor. Most people come weekly, and life comes
first when it has to.
Answering the attendance post honestly matters more than the answer itself.
Saying no costs you nothing and is far more useful to staff than silence.
Answering attendance says you are coming. Claiming a slot says what you will
be doing. They are separate on purpose, and mixing them up is the most common
confusion in the unit.
Claiming a slot explains the
relationship.
What happens if covers the awkward
cases: turning up without answering, answering yes and not making it, changing
your mind late.
Yes. Discord is where the unit organises and announces. Operations themselves
run on TeamSpeak with the ACRE2 radio mod. Getting started
covers installing both.
No. The 47th is a tactical sim, not a milsim unit. Training and certifications
exist to keep the standard of play high, not to build a hierarchy or to
gatekeep.
The attendance system records your answers and the slots you claim.
Your data sets out what is kept, for how long,
and how to have it removed.
Say so in Discord. Pages here are written by people, and the ones nobody
corrects are the ones nobody trusts.
